Knowledge is power, but the right knowledge, delivered in an accessible and affirming way, is transformative. Our workshops and capacity-building sessions empower parents, caregivers, and support workers with practical strategies, deeper understanding, and the confidence to support neurodivergent individuals with respect and effectiveness.
Based in Springfield Lakes, our neuro-affirming workshops move beyond deficit models to celebrate strengths, honour neurodiversity, and equip you with tools that work in real-world situations.
Capacity-building is about developing skills, knowledge, and confidence in the people who provide support. Rather than creating dependency on professionals, we invest in strengthening the capabilities of parents, families, and support workers, the people who are there day-to-day, in the moments that matter most.
Our workshops are interactive, practical, and grounded in lived experience. You won't sit through hours of theory with no application, you'll leave with strategies you can implement immediately, understanding that actually makes sense, and confidence in your ability to support effectively.
Neuro-Affirming Framework
Every workshop is built on neuro-affirming principles. We celebrate neurodiversity, move away from compliance-based models, and focus on understanding, communication, and genuine support rather than "fixing" or changing people.
Strength-Based Learning
We focus on what's working, what's possible, and building on existing strengths. No deficit language, no pathologising, no shame - just practical, respectful strategies that honour the people you support.
Real-World Application
Theory matters, but only when it translates to practice. Our workshops bridge the gap between concepts and real life, addressing the messy, complex situations you actually face at home, school, or in the community.
Interactive & Engaging
Learning happens through discussion, questions, scenarios, and shared experiences. These aren't lectures - they're collaborative spaces where your knowledge and experience are valued alongside professional expertise.
Move beyond stereotypes and diagnostic criteria to genuinely understand autistic experience. Explore sensory processing, communication differences, social navigation, and how to create environments where neurodivergent people can thrive as themselves.
Perfect for parents new to autism, support workers wanting deeper understanding, or anyone seeking to shift from a medical model to a neuro-affirming perspective.
Learn practical strategies for supporting communication with non-speaking or minimally speaking individuals. Explore alternative communication methods, how to honour all forms of communication, and building genuine connection beyond words.
Covers AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), presuming competence, understanding behaviour as communication, and creating communication-rich environments.
When behaviours are creating challenges, understanding the 'why' is essential. This workshop explores functional behaviour analysis from a neuro-affirming lens, practical de-escalation strategies, environmental modifications, and skill-building approaches.
Focused on positive behaviour support principles without restrictive practices. Learn to respond with empathy and effectiveness while keeping everyone safe.
Understand how sensory differences impact daily life and learn practical strategies to support sensory regulation. Explore sensory profiles, creating sensory-friendly environments, and respecting sensory needs without pathologising stimming or self-regulation behaviours.
Includes practical tools for home, school, community, and work settings. Perfect for parents, support workers, and educators.
Change can be challenging for many neurodivergent individuals. Learn strategies for supporting transitions - whether daily routines, school changes, moving house, or major life transitions. Focus on preparation, predictability, and providing appropriate support through change.
Supporting others requires supporting yourself first. This workshop addresses caregiver burnout, practical self-care strategies, setting boundaries, accessing respite, and building sustainable support networks. You can't pour from an empty cup.

Capacity-building workshops can be funded under several NDIS categories depending on the participant's plan and goals. Common funding sources include Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living, Capacity Building - Improved Relationships, or Core Support - Assistance with Daily Life for support worker training.
We accept self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed funding. Not sure if your plan covers workshops? We can help you understand your funding and work with your support coordinator to access capacity-building supports.
Whether you're a parent seeking deeper understanding, a support worker wanting to strengthen your practice, or an organisation committed to neuro-affirming support, our workshops provide practical knowledge that makes a real difference.
